Boones Creek Opry

Events Calendar

The Boones Creek Opry was founded by the Boones Creek Historical Trust as a way to preserve, exhibit, and celebrate the traditional culture of East Tennessee

and its oldest community.

This multi-phase community project will grow a local community center into a full Appalachian Opry House nestled into the picturesque rolling hills of Boones Creek's farming and dairy region.  Phase one has been completed, and the Opry is currently housed in what will become the institution's foyer one day.

In addition to serving as the current performance hall for the Opry, this building also displays several permanent art installations. The floor of the future foyer features a quilt pattern depicting folklife scenes from Boones Creek. This massive painting was created by Vicki Shell and a team of dedicated volunteers. Proudly displayed along the back wall is an 8 ft carved mural of Daniel Boone by Joe Pilkington.

Every Saturday night this venue hosts a traditional Opry with live performances!

Admission is $2. Additional donations are accepted.

Opry Night

The Boones Creek Opry is held every Saturday night at 6 PM.

Jukebox Jess and Bailey George bring the stage to life, serving as both the opening act and the Master and Mistress of Ceremonies. Each week the Opry features a different band or performer, many of which are local talents with deep ties to East Tennessee.

Open Mic

After the featured band, the Opry opens up its stage to Open Mic to anyone who wants to

take the stage.

Performers of all kinds come to the Opry to sing or play country, bluegrass, or gospel music. This event has been a great resource for up-and-coming musicians to get some stage time while perfecting their craft. Our stage has seen some of the first public performances by many of the

area’s finest musicians.

Bring your instruments, and/or jam with the house band.

Music is the lifeblood of our community, and our musicians are its heart.

Circle Jam

Each Thursday night at 6:30 p.m., we have our weekly Circle Jam. If you have a string instrument such as a guitar, mandolin, banjo, or fiddle, you are welcome to join us in our Opry barn to play some bluegrass and gospel music.
